Chassagne’s reputation is based on whites, but in the 60s, Chassagne was a red wine village, with 70% of its surface area planted with Pinot Noir. Today, the trend is reversed, and just under 30% of the appellation is red, making it an increasingly rare and sought-after wine for connoisseurs.
