Bodegas Grupo Yllera was founded in 1970 and is strategically located near Spain’s most exclusive areas of wine production, the town of Rueda, province of Valladolid, where some of the most emblematic wineries are situated. A vinifying group managed professionally by Marcos and Carlos Yllera, the sixth generation of winegrowers and winemakers, together with the family of the Riojan oenologue Ramón Martínez Palacios. Resuming, a company that during the past years has reached an unquestionable market position both nationally as internationally thanks to the magnificent relation of quality-price personality in all its wines.

Since the first white wines that the Yllera family started to produce several decades ago in Rueda, much before the famous Denomination of Origin came to stand, and thanks to the continuous and important level of investment in vineyards and wineries, technology, barrels and highly qualified personnel, a great number of wines are produced including items like the reds of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, D.O. Toro and D.O. Rioja, whites of the D. O. Rueda and reds and rosés under the Denomination of “Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León”. This way BODEGAS GRUPO YLLERA, has achieved that brands like Yllera, Cantosán, Bracamonte, Tierra Buena, Garcilaso, Coelus or the Cantosán sparkling wines, have situated themselves amongst the most relevant brands in the Spanish market and have obtained recognition from both opinion leaders and consumers.

Bodegas Grupo Yllera owns over 120 hectares of vineyards (mainly of the varieties Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc and Tempranillo) and has control over a team of engineers and oenologists of another 300 hectares in the regions of Rueda, Ribera del Duero y Toro. The wine production process of Grupo Yllera
is based on four fundamental rules; manual recollection in crates which exhaustive selection of grapes both in the vineyard as in the winery, the age of the vineyards over 15 years with a high percentage of old vines with small productions, maximum yields of 4500 kg/hectare in red wines and 7500 kg/hectare for whites and a recollection at an ideal stage of maturity of sugars and polyphenols. In order to preserve the character and expression of the previously selected grapes Grupo Yllera employs stainless steel tanks with automatic temperate control for over 6 million litres and over 8.000 French and American oak barrels (half of them new oak and all under 4 years of age), air-condition equipment in all premises, laboratories equipped with the most advanced technologies, the latest in bottling installations, etc. all put to the service of achieving the highest quality in the wines day after day.

After having reached a successful distribution on the national market, Bodegas Grupo Yllera continues to develop growth by looking for clients and importers in the main markets worldwide in order to develop a long-term partnership, allowing building and consolidating its brands also internationally.
