TERRE DI VALTER is a small family farm specialized in the production of high quality DOC, DOCG and IGT wines, obtained from typical vineyards of the Irpine hills in the province of Avellino, Campania. The name of the company is a tribute to Valter Landi, who passed away in 2003, and who with great determination and passion created a company destined to last over time, starting with the purchase of land in the clay-limestone hilly area of the municipality of Torre Le Nocelle (AV). Thanks to the perseverance and foresight of his son Roberto, a young agronomist, assisted by his sister Emanuela, an economist by training, the work of their father has found continuity, giving birth to a real production of wines since 2008.
Organic vineyards located in Puglia were added to the estate. The company produces both red and white wines. The red wines are already prepared and designed at the vineyard stage, since the quality of a wine is not only obtained in the cellar but, above all, from the treatments related to the vine. The mineral-rich soil, combined with a varied microclimate that in summer is whipped by the wind and the sun, makes this typology unique. The whole area is characterized by a clay soil produced by the disintegration of limestone rich in minerals and iron that give the land its characteristic red color. It is a perfect soil for wine production, it has excellent drainage characteristics compared to most clay soils.
